The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) will install a telecom monitoring system to the tune of US$9.13m to oversee the activities of the country's mobile operators and enhance the quality of mobile phone services.
Bangladesh's watchdog has signed a purchase agreement with Canada-based international company TKC Telecom, which will see the latter install a telecom monitoring system within 180 days.
This will ensure regular and reliable access to voice and data traffic, network usage, and quality information as well as BTRC's revenue. This will greatly improve the BTRC's policy-making system and make reporting to the government more efficient and faster.
